Ensemble Vlechtwerk

Vlechtwerk is a vocal ensemble with a love for early music. In 2011, we discovered the music of old masters like Josquin des Prez and Carlo Gesualdo in the unlikeliest of places: a school for Music Technology. After a long day of synths, speakers and sequencers, Martijn, would gather in the building’s hallway to sing. After graduation, we continued as Vlechtwerk. Since then, we have gone through various line-up changes, life changes, and periods of inactivity, but the core remains the same: to spend time interweaving old melodies, primarily for ourselves and to each other. With no other goal than experiencing the sheer joy of harmony. Very incidentally, we also perform for others. We’ll let you know.
